Hummingbird Surveys

 

Your area may have a hummingbird survey in which you can participate:

Canadian Hummingbird Survey at Operation RubyThroat. Report your Canadian Ruby-throated sightings.

Hummertime, c/o Queen's University Biology Station at Elgin, Ontario, Canada. Study plans were developed in 1989, data collection started in 1990, and they have expanded to over 300 participants.

Oklahoma Hummingbird Survey, 1988-present, administered by Oklahoma's Nongame Wildlife Program.

Texas Hummingbird Roundup, 1994-98, plus two additional years for the Trans- Pecos region, administered by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

New Mexico Hummingbird Connection, 1995-99, administered by volunteers and actively supported by the New Mexico Audubon Council, is adding significantly to the range maps of most hummer species occurring within the state.
